Resorbable injectable materials

Graftys R&D is at the heart of our mid- to long-term strategy and clearly represents one of the company’s major assets.

By gathering top experts in each field, Graftys is in a position to make rapid progress on high-stake projects with considerable potential:

Resorbable injectable materials Optimizing porous architecture and the mechanical properties of phosphocalcium bioceramics..
Resorbable injectable materials Developing resorbable injectable materials that harden in situ, thereby allowing the performance of microinvasive surgery.
Resorbable injectable materials Creating bioinorganic materials with expanded properties for the controlled release of therapeutic agents and growth factors.
Resorbable injectable materials Developing 3D matrices for the growth of cartilage-bone grafts starting from adult stem cells.

Each project in these different research areas is conducted by a mixed task force including researchers and clinicians. It is designed to meet identified market needs as well as strong market tendencies such as the development of prevention, conservational or mini-invasive surgery, and biological rather than prosthetic repair.

Such thematic research is conducted within a genuine ANR and OSEO-accredited research network involving the major health research organizations (Inserm, CNRS, Paris Public Hospitals, Marseille Public Hospitals), and aiming at recognition in 2007 as part of the 7th Framework Program for Research and Development organized by the European Union.
