10/22/02 - GRAFTYS initiates clinical trial
GRAFTYS has initiated a clinical study designed to
demonstrate the effectiveness of a local treatment to prevent osteoporotic fractures.
Evaluation of this prospective, comparative, blinded study will involve safety and
efficacy of a minimally invasive femoroplasty using an injectable and resorbable
bisphosphonateloaded
synthetic bone substitute to prevent contralateral hip fracture after
osteoporotic fracture. The lead investigator is Professor J.N. Argenson, University
Hospital Sainte Marguerite, Marseille, France.
